A motion sensor security light offers a versatile set-up with settings for sensitivity, timing, and distance, and an effective increase in protection against a home intrusion.
Variable time settings feature, such as off, 3-hour operation, 6-hour operation, or dusk to dawn. A full bright light is activated as soon as movement is detected, to illuminate a broad coverage arc, and can remain lit for a pre determined period of time (often 1, 3 or 8 minutes) after motion stops.

Also, lights can often come with a convenient switch within a home to turn a light on or off, and is a manual override to lights own settings.
